The Technical Limitations for attending Knowledge

The technical limitations of the senses and the existence of many cognitive biases divert the outcome of the perception process. This diversion limits the efficiency of the process and makes it difficult to distinguish between real and imaginary phenomena. Failure to understand reality provokes an existential threat and its natural byproduct - anxiety. Knowledge is expected to improve one's probability of survival. It is therefore a human tendency to search for patterns and rules (Wertheimer, 1923; Koffka, 1962; Kohler, 1947; Cherry, 1953; Wood and Cowan, 1995a, 1995b).
